Community website & event experience
2 minute readMove Together
A warm invitation to get outside. An event-led website for Perth’s social games community, designed to make showing up feel easy.
The brief
Make the first step feel smaller.
Joining a group of strangers can feel like a bigger decision than booking an activity. Move Together offers hosted outdoor games around Perth, giving people a simple reason to move, laugh and connect.
The website’s job is to remove uncertainty. It explains who the sessions are for, how the games work and what happens when someone arrives on their own. The invitation is practical, friendly and easy to understand.
- Welcome people arriving solo
- Explain the session before asking for commitment
- Put the next event within reach
- Keep the invitation practical and friendly
The identity
Energy without the pressure.
The visual direction pairs outdoor photography with an open, approachable layout. Playful language and clear information reflect the atmosphere of a hosted session without turning the experience into a fitness challenge.
The creative focus is participation: ordinary people enjoying a shared activity. The case-study photography is an illustrative direction for that feeling and can later be replaced with images from real sessions.
The experience
The details that make a yes easier.
Event pages bring date, duration, location, group size and price into one clear view. Activity descriptions explain the kind of games people might play, while FAQs and host information answer the questions behind the decision.
The structure helps someone picture the whole experience. They can find a suitable event, understand the setting and arrive with a clearer sense of what will happen.
- Scannable event details
- Location context and maps
- Clear activity and host introductions
- Help visitors picture the whole experience
The journey
From curiosity to a chosen session.
Upcoming events anchor the homepage and give visitors a concrete next step. A focused event dialog keeps the selected session in view as the visitor explores joining.
The current experience also explains when online bookings are still to open. That distinction keeps the interface useful during launch while giving the project a clear foundation for a fuller booking journey.
- Event-led homepage
- A focused join flow
- A separate path for private groups
- Stay useful before bookings open
The foundation
A community starts with a welcome.
Move Together combines an activity guide, event discovery and a personal introduction to the host. Each part answers a different kind of hesitation, from practical logistics to the social question of coming alone.
The result is a website that carries the character of the sessions before anyone arrives: easy to understand, low pressure and centred on doing something together.
- Responsive event discovery
- Clear expectations before attending
- An approachable community voice
- Carry the session character online
The result
A clear, welcoming route from “What is this?” to finding a session and knowing what to expect.
Good work starts with the right conversation.
