Luciano Villalobos

I'm a Chilean software developer based in Perth, Australia. I build production web applications — the kind that actually work under pressure, scale when needed, and don't collapse three months after launch. My background spans e-commerce, SaaS, IoT dashboards, and AI-enabled platforms, always with a focus on TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and clean API design.

I'm currently completing a Master of Information Technology with a Cyber Security specialisation in Perth. The program has deepened my understanding of network security, threat modelling, cryptographic protocols, and secure systems design — domains that intersect increasingly with the AI and IoT work I do in practice.

Outside of software, I'm genuinely interested in the harder questions: what it means for a system to be aware of its own state, why complexity emerges from simple rules, what quantum information theory tells us about the structure of reality. These aren't idle hobbies — they shape how I think about architecture, interfaces, and AI. The logs on this site are my attempt to explore these ideas in code.
